The locking jaws of the BMT-1 are tightened against the sidewalls using the large adjustment knob, firmly squeezing the tyre body. Once the long, strong handle is pulled laterally in either direction, the bead is pulled away from the beat seat and towards the center channel, allowing for removal using a tyre lever or other methods. Non-marring jaw covers protect the rim and tyre from damage.
